Manchester-based B2B PR and content marketing agency, Metamorphic PR, has been shortlisted in the regional heats of the National Apprenticeship Awards.

The company was selected in the SME Newcomer employer category of the awards within the National Apprenticeship Service’s North West region which includes Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire.

The agency was the first in the UK to take on an apprentice, Jade Jackson, under the new Public Relations Consultants Association apprenticeship programme in 2014.

Jon Clements, Metamorphic PR director, said: “Investing in a structured training programme and qualification for young talent, as well as providing on-the-job experience, is vital to develop the right skills within public relations businesses for now and the future. These are the potential stars of our profession tomorrow.”

Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service, said: “The National Apprenticeship Awards challenge top apprenticeship employers and apprentices across England to come forward and show how apprenticeships have made a real difference to their organisation and careers.

“They enable talented apprentices and committed employers to receive the recognition they deserve. They not only help celebrate the achievements of apprentices and businesses, allowing them to gain the credit they richly deserve for investing in their own futures, but they drive up quality and encourage others to get involved. I am delighted that Metamorphic PR have been shortlisted for the SME Newcomer of the year award, and would like to congratulate them on this success.”

The results of the North West regional apprenticeship awards will be announced at a ceremony on 22 October at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
